Blues Guitar

Are you enjoying the Blues Lessons?Would you like to master the blues scale? The blues scale originated out of a needto bridge the gap between the diatonic7 note scales and modes of European musicand the sounds brought to the United States from Africa. The origins of the blues go back to the earlyfield crys of the Deep South. There was a call and response that was sungas the workers worked the fields.A little known fact is that through these songs stories were told but also gossip and when the Under Ground Railroad ( a network of safe houses used to free the escaped slave) was running information was transferred singing these early hymns and field songs. So the Blues scale tries to bridge the gap.You can use the blues scale to get the blues sound by the arrangement of the notes.Do you want to learn how to apply the Blues Scale? To learn more about the Blues Scale and how your guitar playing will benefit: Click Here!

12 Bar Blues.

Do you want to learn the blues?

The staple of all blues players.

Would you like to play killer solos?

What exactly is the 12 Bar Blues?

Why is it 12 Bars?

In the simplest terms the 12 Bar blues is
a musical conversation... well actually a
onesided conversation.

The first 4 bars set up the story...

This mean man kicked my dog

Yeah this mean man kicked my dog

In the blues there is a lot of repeating so
get used to it.

The next 4 bars raise the stakes a little.

Tell me people Why did this mean man kick my Dog?

The next 4 bars are there to build tension and then release.

If this man kick my dog again?

I'll tell my dog to bite him back.

The next 12 bars raises the stakes again.

My dog only has 3 legs ....
