Guitar Scales

The place where it all starts - as in the practice to play the lead guitar is with the narrower and major scales. The significant and less important scales are normally separated by just about four frets and properties are known as the relative scales. Whatever scene of music you're in to,major and minor scales are the basic of lead guitar. Master them before you can move to advanced scales. In a major scale,

  • • Step Construction: W-W-H-W-W-W-H

In the minor scale,

  • • Scale Formula: 1-2-b3-4-5-b6-b7
  • • Step Construction: W-H-W-W-H-W-W
